In 2007, we were blessed with a beautiful pair of Maremma Livestock Guard Dogs. These dogs came to us from Pennsylvania. They are almost 2 years old now and are very well behaved. One day when I saw a bobcat draging one of my chickens thru the fence, we decided that we needed to do something. These dogs do their job very well. The male stays out in the field most of the time and the female stays in the field except when the goats are in the barn and then she comes in. She takes care of the new born goats as if they were her very own babies. It is amazing to watch them work. The sire of the male was imported from Italy and is a very large breed. He is just a very beautiful dog. The female is a little bit smaller. She is a very beautiful and friendly dog.

We presently have one of their puppies left for sale. We call him Sampson.
